SMS Blank Nut and Chain | 1145

SMS is a Swedish Metric Standard union. An SMS Blank Nut and Chain is used to seal off an unused SMS Male connection, while keeping the cap attached to the equipment by the chain. This prevents debris and contamination when a product line is not in use. Often used across a wide range of hygienic processing industries, including Food & Dairy, Beverages, Brewing and Cosmetics.

SMS unions are comprised of 4 parts:

• Round Slotted Nut
• Weld Liner
• Weld Male
• Hygienic Rubber Seal (EPDM as standard)

All wetted parts are grade 316 stainless steel, whilst the nut is 304.
