What Is Jacketed Pipework?

Jacketed pipework features an outer “jacket” that allows hot water or steam to circulate around the main product line. These valves and fittings feature 316 Stainless Steel internals and either 304 or 316 Stainless Steel externals, depending on customer preference.

Where It’s Used

Jacketed pipework is often used in chocolate manufacturing, as chocolate is highly sensitive to temperature changes. Slight cooling can cause it to thicken, solidify, or lose its smooth texture.

Beyond chocolate, jacketed systems are widely used across Food and Beverage manufacturing, including the production of sauces, oils, fats, syrups and temperature-sensitive products.
