IDF Joint Ring | BS4825
IDF (also known as International Dairy Federation) is a British Standard union. Joint Rings are intended for use as part of an IDF union to create a hygienic, crevice-free seal. Often used across a wide range of hygienic processing industries, including Food & Dairy, Beverages, Brewing and Cosmetics.
Product Specification
- IDF Joint Rings to suit sizes 1” to 4”.
- Nitrile supplied as standard.
- Variations from stock in NBR, EPDM, Viton and PTFE.
- Manufactured to BS4825 for hygienic applications.
- All seals are certified to EU1935:2004 regulations or FDA.

More About IDF Unions
IDF unions are comprised of 4 parts:
All wetted parts are grade 316 stainless steel, whilst the nut is 304.
Well suited to CIP systems IDF union provides a secure and clean connection. CIP (Clean-In-Place) systems are used to clean pipework without needing to disassemble equipment.
The IDF union also uses a T-Shaped joint ring to ensure a smooth bore when tightened and a crevice free joint.
