Our 5D special radius stainless steel bends eliminated product damage for chocolate chip transport in a factory.

A customer recently approached us with a problem faced by their client. Their client, who is a chocolate chip manufacturer, was facing issues with product damaging during transportation across the factory.

Transporting the chips through a flexible hose caused this issue. This was because the internal part of the plastic hose had ridges, scuffing the chips as they travelled through.

To resolve this, our customer replaced the ridged hose with a 5D Stainless Steel 90° hygienic bend, from our special radius bend range.

The smooth internal finish of our hygienic bends was much softer on the product as it travels though, significantly reducing friction and preventing damage.

After purchasing, our customer explained that this solution solved the issue! The 5D bend had stopped the chocolate chips from scuffing during transit across the factory.
